Aerospace & Space Products

South Bend Controls 2-Way Solenoid Valves
These 2-way, solenoid operated valves are one of our most extensive product lines, and are highly reliable. Our valves offer latching designs, redundant coils, submersible configurations, continuous duty, and a variety of connector and port options.
South Bend Controls 3-Way Solenoid Valves
These 3-way, solenoid-operated valves are highly reliable and offer latching designs, redundant coils, submersible configurations, continuous duty, and a variety of connector and port options.
South Bend Controls Anti-Ice Valves
We offer a selection of flight-proven anti-ice valves that are designed primarily for bleeding off high temperature, compressed air from aircraft engines. These specialty valves are used for anti-icing applications as they provide reliable service at temperatures up to 900°F.
South Bend Controls Check Valves
We offer a wide range of check valves with operating pressures up to 10,000 PSIG and cracking pressures from 1 to 12 PSID, for use in aerospace and space launch vehicle applications. These components are designed as a poppet-style check valve for use in high pressure pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Our check valve products are engineered for gases such as nitrogen, argon or helium, with qualified configurations also available for liquids such as sea water, hydraulic fluids & petroleum fuels.
South Bend Controls Fill and Vent Valves
Our line of Fill and Vent Valves are simple 2-way, manual type valves for use in gas and liquid transfer applications. These Fill and Vent Valves work well with consumables such as argon, nitrogen, helium, oxygen, and many aviation fuels and are used for filling, venting or draining on-board pressurized storage reservoirs at pressures up to 10,000 psig [690 bar].
South Bend Controls Integrated Systems
We offer the ability to combine multiple fluid control devices into one component, resulting in an integrated system. These system solutions involve looking into your entire flow circuit to integrate several components into one assembly, while staying within your specification requirements.
South Bend Controls Quick Disconnect Couplings
Our family of quick disconnect couplings is for aerospace launch use for high pressure connections to rocket propellant systems. These couplings minimize pressure drop and external leakage during pre-launch fluid transfer. This family of quick disconnects utilizes similar design technologies which have been proven to be highly reliable under extreme launch conditions.
South Bend Controls Regulators
We offer a family of pressure reducing regulators for use on space launch vehicle cold-gas thrust and reaction control systems. These components are designed as a single-stage, pressure reducing regulator that provides rapid response in a small, lightweight package.
South Bend Controls Relief Valves
We offer a wide range of relief valves for use on aircraft and spacecraft to prevent overpressure damage to critical systems. These components are designed as a poppet-style relief valve to provide overpressure protection where system anomalies such as over temperature or upstream component failure are a concern.
South Bend Controls Proportional Flow Control Valves
Our popular Servoid® valve is a proportional, solenoid-operated valve thats used as a flow or pressure controller in such products as critical care ventilators, anesthesia ventilators, and angiographic injection instruments. Other applications include fuel control in onsite micro-turbine generators and fuel cell reformers, as well as in ultra-pure water dispensing.
South Bend Controls Squib Valves
We offer a selection of squib valves that are squib-actuated pyrotechnic valves and feature fast (less than 5 milliseconds), emergency flow of pneumatic gases, with zero leakage over a long storage life. Our products have been used to inflate helicopter float pontoons and aircraft emergency passenger escape slides. These pyro valves can also be used in space launch vehicle propulsion subsystems.
South Bend Controls Thrust Valves
Our thrust valves are normally closed shutoff valves that are a single-stage, direct operated pneumatic solenoid valve for aerospace cold-gas thruster applications that handle nitrogen or argon. The pressure balanced design minimizes power consumption for high flow with rapid response characteristics.

Medical Products

South Bend Controls Inert Isolation Valves
We offer a comprehensive selection of solenoid-operated control valves designed to withstand the aggressively corrosive fluids with which biomedical instruments frequently come in contact.
South Bend Controls Inert Proportional Valves
We offer a 2-way Normally Closed Inert Proportional Valve that produces rectilinear motion which is linearly proportional to the electrical current input. This component is designed to withstand the aggressively corrosive fluids with which biomedical instruments frequently come in contact ranging from human blood and biofluids to bleach and saline solutions.
This valve is designed for high accuracy, repeatability, durability, and flexibility.
